J’ai essayé 4 des hacks les plus étranges de “soins de la peau comestibles” pour une peau éclatante et une perte de poids – la mousse de mer de Bella Hadid m’a fait grimacer.

In the world of skincare and beauty, there are countless trends and fads that come and go. From the latest serums and creams to bizarre DIY hacks, people are always looking for new ways to achieve glowing skin and a flawless complexion. One trend that has been gaining popularity in recent years is edible skincare – the idea that eating certain foods can have a positive impact on your skin.

Being a skincare enthusiast myself, I was intrigued by the idea of edible skincare and decided to try out four of the weirdest hacks I could find. And who better to take inspiration from than supermodel Bella Hadid, known for her flawless complexion and radiant skin. One of her go-to superfoods for glowing skin is sea moss, a type of seaweed that is said to be packed with nutrients and benefits for the skin.

As I began my journey into the world of edible skincare, the first challenge I faced was sourcing the ingredients. Sea moss can be quite difficult to find, but after some diligent searching, I managed to get my hands on a small jar of dried sea moss flakes. The next step was figuring out how to incorporate this mysterious ingredient into my daily routine.

The first hack I tried was a sea moss smoothie, inspired by Bella Hadid’s favorite way to enjoy this superfood. I soaked the sea moss flakes in water overnight to rehydrate them, then blended them up with some almond milk, a handful of berries, and a spoonful of honey. The resulting smoothie was a vibrant green color, with a slightly salty taste from the sea moss.

As I took my first sip, I was hit with a strong ocean flavor that I found difficult to stomach. The texture of the sea moss was slimy and slightly gritty, giving the smoothie a strange consistency that was hard to overlook. Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t bring myself to finish the entire glass, and ended up throwing the rest away.

Feeling slightly defeated, I moved on to the next edible skincare hack on my list – turmeric face masks. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a popular ingredient in skincare products. I mixed together a paste of turmeric powder, honey, and yogurt, then applied it to my face and left it on for 15 minutes.

As the mask dried, I could feel my skin tingling with the powerful properties of the turmeric. After washing it off, my skin did feel slightly smoother and more radiant, but the yellow stain left behind by the turmeric was not exactly the look I was going for. Overall, this hack was more successful than the sea moss smoothie, but I’m not sure I would incorporate it into my regular skincare routine.

Next up on my list was a collagen-infused bone broth, said to be a favorite of celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow. Collagen is a protein that is essential for healthy skin, hair, and nails, and is often used in skincare products to boost elasticity and hydration. I simmered a pot of beef bones for several hours to make a rich and nourishing broth, then added a scoop of collagen powder before serving.

The bone broth was surprisingly delicious, with a deep and savory flavor that was comforting and satisfying. I could definitely see myself incorporating this into my diet on a regular basis, as it was both tasty and nourishing. Whether or not it had any noticeable effects on my skin, however, remains to be seen.

Finally, I decided to try a matcha green tea detox, a popular trend among health and beauty enthusiasts. Matcha is a type of green tea that is packed with antioxidants and nutrients, making it a powerhouse for skin health. I mixed together a tablespoon of matcha powder with hot water and a splash of almond milk, then sipped on the warm and earthy drink.

The matcha detox was refreshing and invigorating, with a slightly bitter taste that I found surprisingly enjoyable. I could feel the antioxidants working their magic as I drank, and I noticed a subtle boost in my energy levels throughout the day. While I can’t say for certain that it had any significant impact on my skin, I would definitely consider adding matcha to my daily routine for its overall health benefits.

In conclusion, my foray into the world of edible skincare was a mixed bag of successes and failures. While I may not be rushing to make another sea moss smoothie anytime soon, I did find a few hacks that I would consider incorporating into my regular routine. Whether or not these edible skincare trends actually have a noticeable impact on my skin remains to be seen, but it was certainly an interesting experiment.

As for Bella Hadid’s sea moss, well, let’s just say I’ll stick to my regular skincare routine for now. Gagging in French may not be the look I’m going for, but hey, beauty is pain – or in this case, a distaste for sea moss.
